Environment Management

So that humans, the environment, and society can all live in harmony, TMC is committed to protecting the environment. TMC also has a strong sense of social responsibility and has enacted Guidelines for Environmental Management out of respect for the value of human life and to create an abundant and sustainable society. After its enactment in 2008, TMC has reinforced the Guidelines for Environmental Management. This is not a passive guideline system that merely copes with externally imposed regulations. Rather, we are proactive in our environmental management and strive to improve energy efficiency, reduce costs, and create new markets. We pursue environmentally sound growth.

To minimize environmental impact in the design, development, production, use, and disposal of a single product, we are implementing environmental management strategies at all levels in the company. Especially at TMC, our policy is always focused on preventive rather than post-accident measures. We have secured safe manufacturing technologies and emergency coping capacities in all factories so we safely and reliably produce products that our clients require.

Moreover, to strengthen our overall abilities to cope with global environmental issues and regulations, we have defined the following as our three core issues: 1) energy efficiency, 2) resource recycling, and 3) harmful substances. We are conducting environmental management by focusing on these issues.
